Puget Sound on the Pacific Coast - Albert Bierstadt
I saw this in person yesterday and I have never been so amazed by any painting of any landscape. It caught me instantly and I was taken aback by its scale (also the painting itself is massive, probably 22’x16’ or something) but when I saw the mountain peak in the top right of the painting I experienced an indescribable sense of wanting. If only our world were as beautiful.
